Escalators

I like an escalator because an escalator can never break, it can only become stairs. There would never be an escalator temporarily out of order sign, only an escalator temporarily stairs. Sorry for the convenience.

Taking Risk

The situation looks risky, but once you get out there its not so bad.

Experience

If you win, you never say, man, that was a great experience.  You say, second place is the first loser, or something like that that celibrates the victory.  If you have to chalk something up to experience, think about what it is, so you don't have to experience it again.

Company Culture

"No breath is better than bad breath".  -  cut out the cancer in your organization before it spreads.

Turn the Lights On

"Sunlight is the best disinfectant"

The only way to solve major issues within an organization is to bring them out into the light of day to be vetted.  Especially if it is an issue with a lot of political hair that is creating tension. 

Rare Event

Its like the birth of a blue whale, it rarely happens, but when it does you want to be there. 

Sarcastically think of magnificant rare events that happen in your life, in your business.  Like closing a big government contract, getting praise from your boss or making a birdie.  They rarely happen, but when they do its a site to see.

Life of a start-up

"On the brink of greatness and on the edge of disaster" - start-up tread day-to-day along a delicate balance of redefining their industry or going out of business.  When you are out of cash, you are out of business regardless of r how many brand name partnership are in place or how stacked your sales pipeline is.
