Share will be the next big category in the web world. Like when search first started, sharing is happening on a "site wise" basis all over the web. For example, at Photobucket you can share a photo with someone, on Youtube you can share a video with a friend. This site wise approach doesn't begin to capitalize on the opportunity. Nextumi is the first and only company that is looking at sharing as a system, enabling an activity that strengthens relationships over the web, which is what web 2.0 all about. Communication will be forever changed (improved). At the DEMO 07 conference once of the panelist made a very interesting comment. She said, "how many social networks can I be involved in? Do we really need another one? I don't have time." She's right we don't. Where you spend your time is up to you, but that doesn't mean your friends and relationships are all there as well. Today, to interact with a friend on MySpace, you need to be a MySpace member, to interact with a friend on Facebook, you have to be a Facebook member. To share a cool video you found across social nets doesn't happen today, but sharing is one of the fundamental activity that defines a relationship. Nextumi recently launched their new product, Share2me at DEMO last week. Share2me, enables you to share any digital media to anyone, anywhere, no matter where their presence is. Yes, share a video to a MySpace friend and Facebook and your parents in email in one click. Click here to view the demo at DEMO 07. Download it at Share2me.com at start sharing. However, I warn you! Don't be lulled into the simplicity and look at Share2me as another web widget. Share2me is about looking at sharing as a system, not a site wise activity. It will become another way for you to discover new content from the people you have the most in common with. Many more things to come this innovative company. I promise.
